Overview:
Freight spend is not top of mind, but freight is a commodity that needs to be managed. Freight management is an easy and effective way to provide visibility into shipping expenses and reduce costs. Through our relationship with TACC, OptiFreight® Logistics (formerly FDSI Logistics) will work with your institution to reveal hidden cost and generate savings without impacting daily procurement operations.

How does the program work?
OptiFreight® Logistics manages more than 11.5 million shipments annually, which allows us to aggregate volume and pass on those discounts to you. Additionally, our program drives savings through competitive rates, strong supplier relationships, proprietary technology and freight expertise.

What are the benefits?
Institutions spend thousands on inbound and outbound freight. The OptiFreight® Logistics program will help to:
• Reduce costs — Savings begin once your suppliers start shipping packages to your facility through the OptiFreight® Logistics freight management program and reduce inbound shipping costs by 20-40%. The opportunity to reduce costs continues through additional service offerings, including packages shipped from your facility to other locations, residential deliveries and large freight shipments.

• Gain visibility — OptiFreight® Logistics resources help you identify additional inbound and outbound cost savings opportunities through service level optimization, powered by advanced reporting, benchmarking and analytics.

• Take control — We leverage our large supplier portfolio, along with our automated activation and compliance processes, to assist you in taking control of your inbound supply shipping costs.

Expertise and proactive support— Our dedicated team of 200+ freight management experts assist in cost saving initiatives, manage purchase order allocation and continue to drive efficiencies with education and outreach to provide support and foster participation.
