Community Initiatives

The initiatives listed below utilize effective policies to support structured pathways that support a student from connection through completion and/or have been identifed as "promising" through data collection and research.  Each program has components worthy of being considered for replication throughout Texas.

Initiatives:

Texas Completes

The Texas Success Center (TSC) is working with Texas Completes project staff and college practitioners to disseminate emerging knowledge from this Texas-based pathways reform movement including how to create innovation at scale across multiple college structures and to develop common metrics and potentially shared data collection resources.

New Mathways Project

The TSC is working with NMP project staff and TACC to implement the NMP framework in all community colleges in Texas.

Transfer 101

The TSC works with the Texas Association of Community Colleges' (TACC) Texas Community College Education Initiative (TCCEI) to promote educational programs and services that benefit Texas higher education. Transfer 101 facilitates success by ensuring that students have easy access to the information and tools they need to make the transition to a senior institution.

GC PASS

Gulf Coast Partners Achieving Student Success (GC PASS) is a regional collaboration designed to increase college readiness among high school graduates, ease student transitions between high school and community college, and increase student success in community college developmental courses. Though each community college and school district project is unique, all are founded on research-based and field-proven best practices, and all rely primarily on student data to inform and evaluate their efforts.

Additional community initiatives will be posted as information becomes available.
